Google's parent company Alphabet is laying off hundreds of employees from its global recruitment team. Because, in the coming days, the company plans to hire workers more slowly than before, according to the news agency Reuters.

According to a report, it is not actually a layoff from the company. Most of this category will be assigned to key roles. Apart from that, Alphabet will also help employees find jobs inside and outside the company. The company officially unveiled this announcement on a Wednesday.

Alphabet is the first 'big tech' company to lay off the largest number of workers simultaneously this quarter (July to September). Meta, Microsoft and Amazon have laid off many workers in early 2023 amid the post-pandemic economic crisis.
